Frequencies govern your body - but too many emissions can stunt the rush. Darklove is a counterpoint to nights left unrealised. It is a mediation on a new vibe, a deadly transference intent on bewitching you. An organic sound conjugal to synthetic resonance, where the taxonomy of waves arrange itself into nu, dark and cosmic. It is a sweaty space where monochrome becomes technicolour; where post-punk techno and electronic morphs into a dark disco stew.
Our first guest is a French connoisseur of club dynamics, a master of body movement who engineers his music to simmer, steam and cook the toughest of discotheques. Indeed, Damon Jee is behind some of the biggest dance floor weapons released over the last two years. There is a simplicity in his music belying the dance floor devastation it causes. His releases on labels from Correspondant to Suara to Rotten City Files should be put on the UN’s list of prohibited Weapons of Mass Destruction. We challenge you not to be overcome by a rush of endorphins when his remix of Pardon Moi’s ‘Power to the People’ explodes into a dense shimmer of trance and serotonin.
