Novel & Soothsayer Present HAAi (5hrs) & S.A.M.

WHEN

Sunday January 12th 2020

WHERE

Revolver Upstairs

We are happy to welcome two international talents to Revolver Upstairs, HAAi (5 hrs) and S.A.M.

Sydney ex-pat, UK native HAAi has become synonymous with experimentation in her works. Infusing heavy bass lines, breaks, thumping techno, and worldly percussion within her original productions and her sets, her 2018 debut album Motorik Voodoo Bush Doof Music released on her Coconut Beats imprint perfectly summarises her unique sound. Having already landed a residency with Phonox, Rinse FM, and Worldwide FM, her BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix went on to win the Essential Mix of the Year, earning HAAi a monthly Radio 1 slot. Look no further than her recent Boiler Room x AVA Festival mix which is nearing 100,000 plays, for reference of her big on stage energy which will no doubt be brought to the cage.

Joining HAAi will be S.A.M., the Danish artist who has graced stages everywhere from Fabric, to Robert Johnson, Rex Club and Sankeys, showcasing a sound that can be characterised as cosmic, trippy, and psychedelic with foundations in dance music. Alongside his solo career, S.A.M. is one third of Mandar with artists Lazare Hoche and Malin Genie, as well as curating record labels Delaphine, Dahlia, and Oscillat Music, which houses his own productions, and works from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Butch, and Mathew Dekay. We’d recommend taking work off on Monday, these two are not to be taken lightly. .
