Etapp Kyle’s immersive, hallucinatory techno embodies this obsession with spatial qualities of sound, resonating through the sound systems of top techno venues and festivals worldwide.

Born in 1987 in western Ukraine, Etapp began as a classical musician before a transformative teenage club experience shifted his path. He learned to DJ while studying computer science in Chernivtsi, enduring hardships like unreliable internet and limited music access. His dedication, including risky hard drive handling, eventually led to a move to Moscow and a residency at ARMA 17, where he developed his signature dark, spacious techno. A pivotal meeting with Ben Klock in Berlin led to releases on Klockworks and a strong reputation for technical precision. His contributions to Ostgut Ton and the Ostgut Booking roster further cemented his status. On his debut EP for Ostgut Ton, *Alpha*, Etapp Kyle offers pristine, exploratory sci-fi soundscapes that eschew clichés, blending musical elements with architectural and spatial concepts to deliver a compelling club experience.
